Death Strikes the Lightning Incarnate Theater (9 men; 6 women. The cast number can be reduced.)
This game is set at a preview of a postmodern show based on a Sherlock Holmes tale—yes, you heard right, postmodern. Featured are all the people you expect to find in a theater production, plus a local cop who is cast as Sherlock Holmes. When a badly injured man emerges in the middle of the show, the audience is asked to determine who is responsible for his injuries and subsequent death.

NOTE: This show was designed to "showcase" a theater. It begins in the house, but has scenes set in the costume shop, the green room, etc. It could be run as part of a regular season or, based on the assumption that people are curious about the backstage area, it would make a great fundraiser.

Bam! There Goes Another Upshaw Downs (3 men; 4 women)
Even before they try to stage a seance to bring back the late patriarch, the Upshaw Downs family has financial problems. But that's nothing to the trouble they're in as a series of gifts prove to be fatal. With family members dying right and left and a big surprise from "the other side," the audience is called upon to determine who is responsible for the carnage.

NOTE: There are two versions of this show, one designed to be done in a theater, and the second to be done in a mansion, either with or without a meal.

The Hiscott Family Reunion (4 men; 3 women; 1 role either male or female)
Since we all know what goes on at a family reunion, it isn't difficult for the guests to fit in as members of the Hiscott family. The family is in the hat-making business, so to add to the fun it is suggested that everyone wear a silly hat. The merry-making is interrupted, however, when a rather unusual chapeau proves to be lethal. Then it's up to the guests to figure out whodunnit, why, and how (the latter is not so obvious as it originally seems to be).

NOTE: This show is scripted to be done with a dinner but it can easily be modified to be played without a meal.
